The legal team at O’Malley Law Office, LLC is sad to announce the passing of Attorney Carlon M. O’Malley. Carlon is survived by his son, Attorney John T. O’Malley, who will always remember him as a loving father, a brilliant lawyer, and an inspiring mentor.
Carlon graduated from Penn State University in 1951 before earning a Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law in 1954. He served as First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania from 1961 to 1969. Following that, Carlon was in the private practice of law until 1979, when he became a U.S. Attorney, a position he held until 1982. In 1986, Governor Robert P. Casey appointed Carlon to serve as a Judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County.
In 2010, he retired from the bench and re-entered private practice with his son at the O’Malley Law Office, LLC.
Carlon touched the hearts of many people throughout his life and career, and he will be greatly missed by his colleagues, clients, and the greater legal community.
